On Screen Buttons - Import, Export and Extract

Last Updated: Sep 09, 2016 01:52PM IST

Import and Export

These two buttons allow you to import your audio, images or slides, or to export your Audio Notetaker file to an Album, to iTunes, to a video or just export your text and images.

Import

To import Audio see here

To import Images see here

To import Slides see here

To import Transcriptions see here

By Default your audio files will be converted to the OPUS format. We normally use Speech quality conversion but if you want a better quality conversion (good if you've recorded music) then you can change the setting with 'Audio Quality'.
If you want to turn conversion off you need to go to App Menu -> Options -> Audio Files

Export

To export Audio as Album see here

To export Album to iTunes see here

To export Selected Audio see here

To export Audio and Images as Video see here

To export Text and Images see here

When exporting audio you can select whether to export with changes to your playback settings (this is on by default); Speed (excluding export as video), Volume, Audio Clean-Up settings and Voice Shift.

Extract

You can extract specific coloured chunks or sections. You will get a new Project (or added to an open Project); each section will have any images and text copied as well as the relevant (coloured) audio. See here.
