Using Audio Notetaker in a schools context

Last Updated: Mar 21, 2014 10:12AM GMT

Audio Notetaker is an audio centric workspace, allowing pupils to capture and communicate their ideas and understanding of concepts and topics using a combination of audio, images, colour and text. Without the need to rely on text alone, Audio Notetaker provides a number of different techniques that are ideal for auditory learners, reluctant writers and those with specific learning difficulties. The final piece of work can even be outputted as a multimedia video presentation.

As an open-ended tool, the cross-curricular applications of Audio Notetaker are far reaching. The following sections provide a broad overview of seven key challenges faced by teachers in the classroom today and how Audio Notetaker can provide solutions.

The lesson activities have been designed and developed by leading educational practitioners in English, SEN, ICT and MFL.
